Me.

I view digital accessibility as a crucial civil rights issue that gets a sliver of the attention it needs. My dedication to accessibility advocacy began at age ten, guided by disabled mentors including Presidential Medal of Freedom holder James Brady as well as learning rights figures Jonathan Mooney and David Flink

Raised just outside of Baltimore, MD, but now a resident of Portland, ME, I champion digital accessibility as a sort of foot soldier. Since I was ten, I've been deeply engaged in rights movements for learning disabilities, learning how to fight for both myself and others under the gudance of such mentors and activists as David Flink and Jonathan Mooney. During the completion of my UX studies at Georgia Tech in 2020 and amidst my marketing undergraduate studies, I faced grave neurological issues. A diagnosis eluded me for nearly a year, and from then I have been working on managing symptoms individually. Thankfully, I discovered the suitable treatments and have enjoyed several months of uninterrupted health and stability. Now, I am eager to return to exciting, challenging new projects.

During my UX studies at Georgia Tech in 2020, I developed unexpected neurological conditions that gave me firsthand insight into how health conditions affect digital interaction. Though finding proper treatment took time, I'm now healthy and bring this enhanced perspective to my work

Thankfully, I discovered the suitable treatments and have enjoyed several months of uninterrupted health and stability. This journey has given me unique insights into the varied and sometimes unexpected ways people interact with digital interfaces, making me a genuinely empathetic and thorough accessibility advocate. Now, I am eager to return to exciting, challenging new projects with this enhanced perspective.

Even during recovery, I remained active in the field through consulting and speaking engagements, including delivering Haiti's first UX design talk in 2022. My personal journey has deepened my commitment to thoughtful, empathetic accessible designs that improve the quality of life for all users.
